General objectives of the program
The general objectives of the interuniversity doctoral program Electrochemistry, Science and Technology are:
to train researchers and specialists in the principles and practice of Electrochemistry;
to promote the quality of research and the collaborative possibilities for the research groups in the program;
to train doctors who can work in a variety of fields within the electrochemical industry, including synthesis, corrosion, energy production and storage, surface treatment and the environment.
The program comprises a training period of 60 ECTS credits and a research period in which the student prepares a doctoral thesis.
Specific requirements and criteria for admission to the research period of the doctoral program and applicant merit rating
Applicants must meet ONE of the following requirements to be admitted to the research period:
- the successful completion of 60 ECTS credits in training activities specific to the program (30 credits in 8 specially designed subjects and 30 in the research project);
- a university master's degree certificate or its equivalent, issued by an EHEA university or centre;
- a master's degree certificate that has been issued by a higher educational system outside the EHEA and that has not been homologated but that has received recognition of equivalence to Spanish university master's degree courses and would also entitle the holder to begin doctoral studies in his or her own country;
- an Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA).
