General objectives of the program
The aim of the PhD programme in Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies is to offer training in the field of philology in the most general sense of the term, training quality doctoral students for research in the fields covered by the Faculty's studies. The programme integrates all the approaches and methodologies of philology to study language, literature and culture as general phenomena and in their plural and particular expressions in more than a dozen languages, those that are the object of learning and study in the Faculty of Philology and Communication at the UB. And it prioritizes as objectives approaches both linked to the different languages of study and interdisciplinary and comparative approaches.
