General objectives of the program
Our aim is training and research in social interaction and human development. The programme is aimed at students with degrees in psychology and related subjects and who have completed an official master's degree in one of the following fields: social sciences, communication sciences, education and development sciences, medical and health sciences, behavioural sciences, and physical activity and sport sciences.

Specific requirements and criteria for admission to the doctoral program and applicant merit rating
Candidates for the doctoral programme in Psychology of Communication and Change should hold a degree in psychology or a related discipline and should have taken a university master's degree in one of the following fields:
social sciences, communication sciences, education and developmental sciences, medical and health sciences, behavioural sciences, or physical activity and sport.

When they apply for the programme, students should consider the thesis topics proposed by the programme's research groups. The applicants' academic background and the subject areas they are interested in should be compatible with one of the options offered on the doctoral programme. Consequently, applicants should indicate which research area (up to a maximum of three, in order of preference) they are interested in working on during their doctoral research. Other specific requirements are good comprehension of scientific texts in English, and quantitative or qualitative methodological training at postgraduate level that enables them to research the area of the doctoral programme.

In addition to holding the required degree and meeting the additional specific requirements mentioned above, candidates must submit the following information to the Academic Committee or a delegated body:

1. Academic transcript.
2. Full curriculum vitae.
3. Letter of presentation (maximum one page), setting out the reasons and professional objectives that led the candidate to apply for the doctoral training programme.
4. Candidates may attach letters of reference from prestigious researchers and lecturers (publications and other merits) to their applications.
5. Certification of English at level B2 or other indicators of language skills (for example, a one-year period spent in an English speaking country or bachelor's degree or master's programmes taken in English).

The process of gathering information about a candidate will end with a face-to-face or video-conference interview, to make a qualitative assessment of their suitability for the requested doctoral programme. The interview will be carried out by the programme coordinator. A member of the research group in the area selected by the candidate may also participate. Ideally, the candidate should attend an interview (at the same time or separately) with the coordinator and with the group's principal investigator. The aim of the interview is to guide the applicant as well as possible. (The interview should be carried out in a tactful, respectful and positive way.)

In accordance with the information that is gathered, the weighting of the admissions criteria is as follows:

Academic record (30%).
Report on the interview (25%).
Specific qualitative or quantitative methodological training (20%).
Certificate showing a suitable level of English reading comprehension for scientific texts (25%).
